Ange Postecoglou's second defeat in the Premier League as Tottenham manager has been trolled by DOMINO'S
The pizza chain have targeted Spurs after Wolves struck twice in stoppage time to down them 2-1 at Molineux. Brennan Johnson had put them into an early lead before Pablo Sarabia and Mario Lemina's late efforts. It ends a bruising week for the former Celtic boss, who's had to deal with long-term injuries in the aftermath of a 4-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Domino's have delighted in pouncing on the back-to-back defeats and replying to a tweet with the scoreline, they teased a new part of their dessert menu involves Postecoglou's team. They claimed: "Introducing our new dessert: The Spurs Crumble." The tweet has gathered over 5000 reposts and 36k likes. Postecoglou said of the game: "We were winning the game and a lot of the guys, in the back of their minds, they hadn’t played for quite a while.
"There was a little bit of self-preservation to get us through to the end of the game. But it’s all understandable stuff given the lineup we had out there.
"We started well but we could have been a little bit more positive, a little bit more aggressive, particularly with the ball. I have got to temper that with the fact we’ve made so many changes and we’re not going to get the same sort of fluency when three of your back four are virtually starting for the first time [this season].
“We’ve made a couple of changes further up as well so it’s not going to be as fluid but we could have been more positive.”
