Asda shoppers can bag a free cinema ticket just in time for a weekend of blockbusters.

With Barbie and Oppenheimer both having hit UK screens on Friday, it's the perfect time to plan an outing to your local Vue theatre. But if you're a bit low on cash, the supermarket has teamed up with Sky for a film bargain.

Available now until July 27, Asda is offering one free ticket to everyone who purchases a £6 meal deal at its in-store pizza counter, which includes two fresh 10-inch pizzas made in the supermarket and one two-litre soft drink. Buyers must keep their receipt for proof of purchase in-order to redeem the deal.

If the cinema isn't your thing, customers can enjoy their value meal deal with a free movie without leaving the sofa. Instead of one Vue cinema ticket, shoppers can instead get one Sky store movie voucher to use on the flick of your choice.

Once purchased, customers will have to fill out an online registration form on MovieNightsIn.co.uk and provide a full name, a valid email address and proof of purchase - a photo of your receipt that clearly shows date, receipt number and meal deal purchase that will display as '£6 Meal Deal'.

Submissions will be reviewed and applicants will be notified if theirs has been accepted or rejected. If successful, those who choose the Vue Cinema ticket will be emailed a link to access the voucher and instructions on how to use it. The link and voucher is valid for 14 days.

If you decide to go for the Sky store online movie voucher, you will also be emailed a link that's valid for seven days with instructions on how to access and use your voucher.
