The devices create an immersive 3D experience you just can't get on a regular console. Slipping on the VR headset transports you into the midst of your game that will have you seeing, hearing, and moving your way around.
And while Amazon's Meta Quest 2 deal has sold out, another retailer is offering an even better value Black Friday deal. Originally £399.99, savvy shoppers can get the Meta Quest 2 VR headset for just £199 on Very using a special code.
Very's site shows the Meta Quest 2 already reduced to £249.99, but to get the full savings, you'll need to buy it before November 27 and use the code VKEXL to get £50 credited back to your card or account.
The deal works out £100 cheaper than Amazon's now sold-out bundle. The online giant was offering the headset and a £50 gift voucher for £249.99, but the deal is now "currently unavailable". And over at Currys, Argos and John Lewis, the headset is £249.99.
That makes Very the best place to get a Meta Quest 2 for yourself or others this Christmas. However, it should be noted that Very warns the £50 credit will be reversed if you end up returning the item.
If you're not familiar with the Meta Quest 2, the headset makes the virtual worlds feel real with 3D positional audio, hand tracking and haptic feedback. It was launched in 2020 and previously known as the Oculus Quest 2 .
Gamers can explore over 250 titles across gaming, fitness, social/multiplayer and entertainment, including exclusive blockbuster releases and VR experiences. Users can free roam in the wireless headset that comes with a built-in battery and easy setup that doesn't require a PC or console.
When it comes to deals on traditional consoles, Amazon has reduced the PlayStation 5 by £100 in a 21% discount.
