Emmerdale fans have sussed out the identity of who Cain Dingle and Caleb Milligan are holding hostage. The brothers, William Ash and Jeff Hordley, have recently returned from a mysterious road trip as viewers learned more about their shifty behaviour during Tuesday's episode.

At the end of the episode, Caleb could be seen hammering nails into wood at a disused house on Wylie's Farm. It became clear to viewers the pair weren't trying to stop people from going into the house, but stop someone from leaving.

The Mirror reports Cain sarcastically stated: "Nobody is getting in there," as his brother bashes away. Cain is once again forced to lie to Moira, as he tells her he is just sorting things in the office before turning to Caleb asking: "Same time tomorrow?"

They then climb into their car and drive away - leaving everyone wondering exactly who is inside and what the victim has done to upset them. Viewers immediately think they've sussed out who the brothers have locked up on the house.

"Have Cain & Caleb kidnapped Harry? #Emmerdale" one penned while a second asked: "Oh could it be that Harry/Simon who Cain and Caleb have locked up? Let us at him! We'll only let him go if he takes Chas for a mug even more and promises her a new life far away and that we can go longer than 5 minutes without silly gangsters and hostage situations. #Emmerdale."

Others joked: "So Cain & Caleb have locked Moira's hairdresser in that derelict house. Her hair wasn't that bad!" while another teased: "Cain and Sonic locked up the #emmerdale script writers?"

Last month, Cain was seen confiding in his brother, suggesting a secret trip with a mystery agenda. Cain had received a message or a notification on his phone which he kept from those around him, but it made him concerned according to the look on his face. Suddenly, he whispered to Caleb about a possible trip away from the village as soon as possible and asked if his brother wanted in.

Caleb agreed, and Cain told him: "And this goes nowhere, otherwise it all falls apart." The brothers are now back and still not revealing what they have planned, but a chat with Cain's son Nate Robinson left us convinced about a new theory during Wednesday's episode.

Ahead of the brothers being caught up in a revenge twist during next week's stunt week involving gangster Harry, the pair were seen acting coy when Nate asked about the Holland trip, and the cars they were meant to be finding. As Caleb claimed paperwork needed sorting and the cars would arrive soon, it was clear he was lying.
