Lydia Dingle’s rape ordeal will be discovered in Emmerdale next week as show spoilers predict a dramatic few days in the Dales.

Lydia will be seen confiding in Kim Tate in upcoming scenes amid continued speculation Kim is involved in Craig’s downfall.

She tried to convince a traumatised Lydia to tell husband Sam Dingle what has happened as rumours continue to circulate round the village that she’s having an affair with her ex. It comes after Lydia bumped into Craig for the first time in years recently, after the pair last saw each other as teenagers when they lived together at a children’s home.

Lydia had fallen pregnant and gave birth in secret and tragically their baby boy was stillborn, but Lydia disappeared before Craig found out. The pair got close in a recent episode as she finally opened up to Craig but Lydia told her ex she wasn’t interested in taking anything further or pursuing anything romantic.

Vile Craig then launched his attack after Lydia tried to reject his further advances. The character is now harassing her and denying the crime, and he’ll soon try to turn stepson Samson against her, as writes the Mirror. With a distraught Lydia in turmoil, whispers from the likes of Mandy Dingle have started to suggest she’s having a fling with Craig.

And next week it’s set to get worse before getting better, when Kim finally finds out. After Mandy voices her suspicions, Lydia will storm off before breaking down. She’ll then open up to Kim after she finds her in tears and forces her to open up. Kim will then tell her she needs to tell Sam - leaving Lydia even more upset as she struggles to find the strength to expose her attacker to the police and the rest of the villagers.

Some fans are convinced that Kim will be involved in Craig’s downfall. One fan posted on X: "Wait until Kim finds out what Craig did to Lydia and she’s goes after him." Another said: "She's just the person to destroy his business and bring him down," and another said: "I hope Kim makes him pay! He's vile."

But theories vary, with another fan saying: "I’m starting to think that the Lydia story is starting to build up to Lydia killing him." Another said: "That's possible. He's becoming very obsessive over her. And I think Kim will cover for her."
