Scotland are into tonight's World Cup Final after a dramatic darting semi-final win over Australia.
Tartan duo Gary Anderson and Peter Wright survived a fightback from Simon Whitlockand Kyle Anderson to clinch a cherished place in the showpiece.
Having dismantled Japan in the quarter-finals during the afternoon without losing a single leg, the Scots looked to be cruising in the last four match as Wright defeated Whitlock in the opening singles tie.
But Kyle Anderson’s stunning win over his namesake Gary in the second singles game moved the contest into a nervy deciding doubles clash.
Scotland again took charge leading 3-0 in the first to four contest only for Wright to miss five darts at double to secure progress.
Australia took advantage to hit back and level at 3-3, but Snakebite recovered his poise with a couple of big scores and a double 12 in the final-leg shootout to win it and give the top seeds a shot at the title later tonight against either Holland or Belgium.
