Jason Donovan beamed with pride as he attended his son Zac's graduation in Edinburgh. The Neighbours star posed for a photo with Zac in his graduation robes at Bristo Square as he graduated from the University of Edinburgh.
Afterwards, the proud dad took to Instagram to share some snaps of his wholesome family weekend in the capital and said how watching his son's milestone achievement was one of the most 'magical moments of his life'.
In the sweet message to his son, Jason penned: "Hey Zac. Just wanted to express how proud of you I am.
"Watching you at your graduation was one of the most magical moments in my life. Your humility, gratitude, curiosity, and desire to never stop learning is so inspiring to watch. I’m a very lucky man to have a son like you."
The star went on to offer Zac some advice as he embarks on the next chapter of his life. He wrote: "As you move into the next chapter remember: The past cannot be changed. Opinions don’t define your reality. Everyone’s journey is different.
"Things always get better with time. Judgments are a confession of character. Overthinking will lead to sadness (good luck with that one). Smiles are contagious. Kindness is free. You only fail if you quit. What goes around comes around."
He then added: "I’ve always said there’s no such thing as luck, you create your own luck in life but what I’ve found is the harder I work, the more I have of it. Continue to work hard continue to be lucky and continue to be the kind, wise, generous soul you are.
"We love you to the moon and back. Ohhh and don’t forget … your Dad is an absolute legend. Dad X."
And many of Jason's followers flocked to the comments to congratulate Zac on graduating.
One wrote: "Sharing this post with my three kids as it’s amazing. What very wise words for everyone from the indeed legend dad. Congrats Zack!!"
Another added: "These words are amazing, Jason! I wish somebody told me something that wise when I was young. I'm very impressed, I'll keep those in mind..."
While one penned: "Well done Zac on all your hardwork, great to see your parents are so proud of you, great future ahead of you."
