A McDonald's employee has shared the one annoying thing that many customers do that gives the workers even more to do.
This french fries 'hack' that people use has been dubbed by the worker as "the worst kind of customer" that she comes across, reports the Mirror US.
This method allows people to get fresh chips that have just been cooked, rather than getting the soggy ones at the bottom of the tray - and all you have to do is ask for a portion of salt-free fries.
TikTok user Grace called out the McDonald's customers who do this on the regular in her video, which has been watched over 80,000 times.
Grace said: "If you go to McDonald’s and ask for no salt on your fries just to get them fresh, and then ask for a handful of salt packets, you are the worst kind of customer. Just ask us to make them fresh."
The video saw lots of people debating the point in the comments section, as some viewers said they ask for no salt due to health reasons - but others did admit that they make this request in order to get a fresh batch.
One person noted: "I always ask for no salt because I don’t want the salt. Y’all put way too much salt on them."
However, another declined to admit any fault, saying: "I will neither confirm nor deny that I do this."
Ex-McDonald’s corporate chef Mike Haracz also weighed in on the fresh chips argument, and simply suggested that people should tell workers that they are happy to wait around for a newly-cooked batch of chips.
