Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly desperate to work things out with the Royal Family following their humiliating snub during a new Family Guy episode.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are featured in the latest series of the hit cartoon satire with main character Peter Griffin comparing himself to the couple as he sits with a group of pals at a bar.

Speaking to his mates, Peter tries to think of ways he can get money he's owed and then comes up with the idea to "go it alone", just like Meghan and Harry did when they quit the Royal Family in 2020, the Mirror reports.

The scene then cuts to the Sussexes sitting by a pool in their swimwear as they are served by a butler who hands them their "millions from Netflix."

As he hands them the money, the butler tells Harry: "Sir, your millions from Netflix for... no-one knows what." The prince replies: "Put it with the rest of them."

The butler rushes off and Meghan receives a notification from her phone as she tells her husband: "Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco".

In an apparent dig at the Royal Family, Harry replies: "I shouldn't have left the made-up nonsense."

A source told Closer that the "savage attack" from the Family Guy episode has "made it crystal clear that the tides have turned against them in America" and Meghan isn't pleased.

They said: "Meghan said she won't be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution. They're in full panic mode.

"She's told Harry that swallowing his pride and begging for his family's forgiveness is the only way to save their brand".

The insider continued: "What's hit them hardest and cuts the deepest of all is that it plays up the whole notion they're self-entitled grifters or spoilt brats.

"It's an outrageous slur as far as they're concerned and totally unfair".

The source claims that the Sussexes believe it was an "attack from inside Hollywood".

They added: "Once again, they feel like they're not being taken seriously by people. They're cursing their luck and saying they can't catch a break.

"Meghan has distanced herself from the furore for months but now she's giving Harry an ultimatum and demanding that he do whatever it takes to fix things.

"She's pushing a special trip back for Christmas in the hopes that William and Charles will be a little more open to reconciliation."
