A woman says a Father's Day card uncovered the horrific secret her partner had been hiding.

Belinda told the parenting website Kidspot that after a long marriage, a startling revelation turned her life upside down.

She was at home going through her book shelf looking for something to read when she opened one up and found the card inside.

Her husband Eddie worked away a lot and one week would be at home and the next he would be away, but she didn't suspect for a minute he was living a double life. Inside the Father's Day card her heart sank when she read a child's handwriting, with the message: "To Daddy, happy Father's Day, love from Nate."

Belinda hoped there could be some reasonable explanation, perhaps it was a book borrowed from a friend, but said "my gut told me I needed to investigate."

When her husband came home she confronted him about Nate.

She said: "Eddie's face crumbled as he confessed to the whole sorry mess, and it was even worse than I thought."

Belinda assumed that he must be hiding a lovechild from her but it turned out to be a far worse situation than she could have ever anticipated.

She added: "It turned out Iwas the affair."

He told her how he had been with a woman called Natasha for 10 years and was juggling two partners in different cities.

Belinda's cheating husband chose the other woman and promised their daughters would be looked after, and left the family home - leaving her completely "devastated".

She finished the post by sharing that she'd taken the decision to contact his partner Natasha on Facebook and sent her a snap of her husband's secret family "so she understood what sort of man she is living with".
