Scotland will be in Pot three at Euro 2024 after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Norway rounded off an historic qualifying campaign.
It was a Tartan Army party despite dropping points against the Norwegians as Steve Clarke and his team had already long-since made sure of qualification. Five wins on the spin, including that famous victory over Spain at Hampden, set us on our way. And while Alvaro Morata and co got their own back in Sevilla and paused the party somewhat, their victory over Norway a few days later meant that our place in Germany was mathematically secure.
It left Scotland in an unfamiliarly privileged position, heading into the final camp with just pride and seeding to play for. And we now know after a draw with Georgia and the Hampden clash with Norway - which sparked a wild party despite a mildly underwhelming result - that we will be going to Germany as third seeds in Pot Three.
Heading into the final game, top seeding as group winners was still technically possible, though needed the unlikely instance of Georgia beating Spain accompanied by a Scotland win at Hampden. That didn't happen as Spain battled to a 3-1 win in Valladolid.
Pot 4 was similarly unlikely with a number of results needing to go against us. And while there are still a number of teams who could move between Pots 2 or 3, we know where we will be and who we are likely to be in the hat with when the draw takes place on December 2.
