Gregor Townsend has named his Scotland side that will face South Africa in their World Cup opener on Sunday, in Marseille.
Scotland rounded off their Rugby World Cup preparations with a 33-6 drubbing of Georgia and have made six alterations to the fifteen named for that clash. Scotland recorded a sensational comeback win against tournament hosts France in their other warm-up matches but were denied a similarly stirring result as France won 30-27. A victory over Italy was another confidence booster with the tournament set to begin with France v New Zealand this evening.
Notably, Darcy Graham has been passed as fit to play after an injury threatened to rule him out while Blair Kinghorn returns at full-back for Townsend's side with George Turner, Pierre Schoeman, and Zander Fagerson also returning and lock Richie Gray back too. WP Nel, Jamie Bhatti, Dave Cherry, and Ollie Smith all drop to the bench.
Scotland: Kinghorn, Graham, Jones, Tuipulotu, Van der Merwe, Russell, White; Schoeman, Turner, Z Fagerson, R Gray, Gilchrist, Ritchie (capt), Darge, Dempsey.
Bench: Cherry, Bhatti, Nel, Cummings, Fagerson, Price, Smith, Redpath.
