Teenager charged over serious assault of 75-year-old West Lothian man

The man is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court at a later date

A 19-year-old man has been arrested, cautioned and charged following the serious assault of a 75-year-old man in Uphall.

The incident happened around 12.35am on Monday, 13 November, 2023, in East Main Street.

The victim received a serious head injury and was taken to St John’s Hospital in Livingston for treatment.

The man is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court at a later date.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and would like to offer their thanks to the public for their help and co-operation in this investigation.
