Crisp lovers have once again been left distraught after learning that Walkers has axed another popular flavour - without any warning.
The British food company has discontinued a few fan-favourites recently, with Worcester Sauce and Beef & Onion no longer available. Now, Salt and Vinegar flavour Quavers are joining the list of favourite pulled from store shelves.
As reported by BirminghamLive, the iconic flavour joined the Walkers' lineup in 1993. It has previously been pulled from store shelves before returning in 2021 alongside Prawn Cocktail Quavers.
One fan of the flavour recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to ask the company directly if they knew what had happened to the crisps. They said: "Have you stopped making salt and vinegar Quavers? I can't find them anywhere."
Unfortunately, Walkers responded with the bad news: "We're sorry to break it to you Linda, but we're not making this flavour anymore."
Naturally, the fan was upset at the confirmation and responded with: "And with no notice. This is a sad day."
Other users were also upset at the news, as one distraught fan wrote: ""@walkers _crisps we need to talk!! I have spent all summer trying to find the ranges that mixes flavours from other crisps - monster munch pickled onion on walkers crisps? Any of them - NEVER FOUND ANY!!
"Also what’s happed to quavers salt and vinegar - not a good summer."
While another added: "@walkers _crisps have you discontinued salt and vinegar quavers again? I can’t find them anywhere!"

A third asked: "@walkers _crisps Have you discontinued salt and vinegar Quavers again? I can't find them anywhere :(."
And a fourth wrote: "@walkers _crisps why have you got rid of salt and vinegar quavers? These are my favourite crisps and now I can't get them anywhere."
It is the second time that Walkers has upset fans this week, after it recently revealed that it had "updated" its recipe for Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations. The crisps giant confirmed that the new flavour for the fan-favourite was to "give it more punch", but not everyone was a fan.
Elsewhere, confectionary giant Nestlé left sweet-toothed fans upset after confirming that it would be axing two popular chocolate bars - the Caramac and Animal Bar.
