Scottish Championship
Is the official name given to the second tier of Scottish association football, overseen by the Scottish Professional Football League. The league was officially established in July 2013 following the merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Twelve teams compete in the Scottish Championship, playing for promotion to the Scottish Premiership and fighting against relegation to Scottish League One.
