Elite divers found no trace of Scots gran Hazel Nairn who was swept into the River Don, after a new search on the anniversary of her disappearance.
The 71-year-old fell into the river while walking her dog near her home in Monymusk on November 18, 2022 after severe flooding hit the north-east of Scotland.
The body of Ruaridh, her Westie dog, was found five days ago but despite extensive searches throughout the last 12 months Hazel has yet to be discovered, reports Aberdeen Live.
An expert team of divers from the Beneath the Surface group had previously scoured the River Don and they returned once again to the area over the weekend.
The volunteer team confirmed that they had endured "difficult and exhausting conditions" alongside other north-east volunteers and confirmed that they would return again soon in order to bring closure to Hazel's devastated family.

Beneath the Surface said on Monday: "Saturday marked one year since sadly Hazel Nairn disappeared close to the River Don in Monymusk, Aberdeenshire.
"At the weekend our search continued. Again assisted by divers from Aberdeen Sub Aqua Club BSAC 67 we searched numerous areas in difficult and exhausting conditions.
"With no sign of Hazel found to date the search continues and we will be returning at a future date to conduct further searches."
